Salivary Gland Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma is Promoted by Increased POFUT1 Expression

چکیده

Previous studies have reported the up-regulated expression of protein O-fucosyltransferase 1 (POFUT1) in several human malignant tumors. This study purposes to explore relevance POFUT1 clinical and biological characteristics salivary gland adenoid cystic carcinoma (SACC). 54 SACC samples were applied immunohistochemistry evaluate practical POFUT1. The cells from submandibular (HSG), cell lines (SACC-83, SACC-LM) quantitative PCR Western blots confirm elevated SACC. shRNA delivered into knock down expression, then, capacities progressing, proliferating, colony forming surviving evaluated. patients found exhibiting a noticeably robuster compared noncancerous samples. Statistical analysis indicated significant correlation T classification Similarly, was also normal gland. decreased remarkably suppressed proliferation, amount survival. Therefore, enhances proliferation survival SACC, which implicates that could be used as an index for prognosis potential target future therapy.

Adenoid cystic carcinoma of the salivary gland.

We describe 15 patients with adenoid cystic carcinoma of the salivary glands treated by radiotherapy from 1960 to 1978. All patients were treated for localized disease either definitively or after surgical resection. The site of origin and local tumor extensions are reviewed and the results of treatment analyzed. Eighty-three percent of the tumors were controlled by combined treatment (surgery ...

Salivary Gland Like Breast Carcinoma/Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma: Case Report.

Adenoid cystic carcinoma of the breast constitutes approximately 0.1% of all breast tumors. They can be located in the trachea, bronchus, cervix, lacrimal gland, and skin as well as the breast. Tumors in the breast have better prognoses compared to those in other locations. The diagnosis and treatment planning of this tumor is challenging due to its rare incidence. In this article, we presented...

Correction: Whole-Genome Sequencing of Salivary Gland Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma.

Adenoid cystic carcinomas (ACC) of the salivary glands are challenging to understand, treat, and cure. To better understand the genetic alterations underlying the pathogenesis of these tumors, we performed comprehensive genome analyses of 25 fresh-frozen tumors, including whole-genome sequencing and expression and pathway analyses. In addition to the well-described MYB-NFIB fusion that was foun...

Immunohistochemical Assessment of Ki-67 Expression in Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma of the Salivary Glands

Objective Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is a rare malignant tumor originating from the salivary glands. It’s rather bland histological appearance that masks its ultimate biological aggressiveness. Evaluation of cell cycle and mitoses have been useful in predicting malignancy in many tumors. Ki-67 antigen is a human nuclear antigen that presents during all active phases of cell cycle. The aim ...

Hybrid carcinoma of the salivary gland: salivary duct adenocarcinoma adenoid cystic carcinoma.

AIMS Hybrid tumours of the salivary gland are rare neoplasms that have been described only in the parotid and palate. Their recognition is important particularly when the component tumours have different biological behaviours. The occurrence of a submandibular hybrid tumour has not been reported. METHODS AND RESULTS We describe a case of a 36-year-old woman with a hybrid carcinoma composed of...
